Blog Post #1: 10 Things About Me

Hello all! I look forward to meeting you all. Here are 10 facts about myself.

1. I am from League City, Texas, a suburb between the city of Houston and the beach of Galveston.

2. I've been acting since I was 4 and still absolutely love it although I'm not taking classes here at UA. That's how I got into filmmaking. Currently I'm interested in art films and travel/history documentaries. I have a super wide range of interests, so I'm generally willing to help with any artistic endeavor.

3. My favorite films right now are Little Miss Sunshine, American Beauty, The Doors, and Forrest Gump.

4. I am by no means a movie buff but watch a variety of movies which makes it difficult to call many forward as favorites. I enjoy filmmaking as a collaborative art form and really love how vividly one can express ideas through moving pictures.

5. I am only a sophomore at UA! So still lots to learn and do here. Currently I'm a member of the Environmental Council and the Mallet Assembly.

6. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy last semester. It was an incredibly gorgeous city and I learned so much about life, people, art, and myself while there. I traveled to several other places in Europe while I was there for an incredible couple months. (Yes, I can speak very basic Italian!) I love art, too. I'm an art minor.

7. As for TV shows I watch Parenthood, How I Met Your Mother, New Girl, and some other random cartoons such as Bravest Warriors, Regular Show, and Avatar the Last Airbender.

    

8. A few things I enjoy are playing guitar, fruit, hikes through nature, NASA (I worked at Space Center Houston, and both of my parents work for NASA) and space in general.

9. My favorite animal used to be sting rays (I even had sting ray stuffed animals) and I'm still mesmerized by them.

10. I think the last time I did a sort of "about me" like this was on myspace...oh the good old days.
